Monfragüe National Park
The National Park of Monfragüe offers an example of harmony between the natural protected areas and the lives of men and women who inhabited it.
The 18,000 acre refuge for hundreds of species of animals; it is an example of one of the best preserved Mediterranean forests in Europe.
Monfragüe offers visitors several routes that penetrate the heart of the Park. The main attractions that draw the attention of all visitors are the famous "Salto del Gitano" (a series of rocks, home to the largest colony of vultures in Europe), the Castle and the Chapel of “Our Lady of Monfragüe”, the "Fuente del Francés, the “Puente del Cardenal”, submerged in winter, and finally the "casa de camineros".
In Monfrague National Park, you can discover many protected species, enjoy horse riding, 4x4 routes, hiking, etc.
