It seems like the passing of the years could not erase the peace and tranquility that has always reigned in the Franciscan Convent of San Bartolomé since the XVI century, today converted into the Conventual de Alcántara Hotel.

The former monk’s dining room is now the ‘Kántara Restaurant’, in which you can find succulent cooking with old recipes, Like Alcantara’s Partridge and current dishes such as Creamy Rice with Prawns, Boletus and ‘Torta del Casar’.

"We have an Extremadura regional cuisine with seasonal products prepared with a touch of innovation. Our kitchen team works with enthusiasm every day for everything to be perfect."
